Guardar semillas en el cabello

Keeping seeds in the hair is an investigation that emerges from MAC Panama’s permanent collection and research program ‘Abordajes.’ The exhibition’s title is inspired by the use of braiding by runaway women to design routes to freedom and transport food, seeds, and valuable items.

The exhibit featured 33 works from the museum’s permanent collection and works from 9 invited artists. I was commissioned to direct the photography for the installation, as well as to design a bilingual publication that documents the exhibition’s curatorial concept.
